Just for you who seems pretty stupid, a license does not make you a plummer. Knowing how to do plumbing makes you a plummer. A license to do plumbing may sometimes be required, but not always. Owing back taxes does not make you bad either, it makes you human with some bad times with no work and no income in your life. Many who work in construction worry everyday if, when and where they will work. Having worked in construction 30+ years there have been many times when I have had those worries. I just hope you have to fix your own stopped up toilet, or a drippy faucet soon, so you might understand the trade a little more. Trades people don’t have an office or a consistent place to work. That is why they often are late, or have to reschedule because they end up with more work a job than they were originally told. In case you haven’t noticed your candidate’s a liar, and a socialist. It’s in print for you to see as well. Maybe you should do like Joe says and look?

Hi Lonnie, in response to your comment, I would like to suggest that if you are going to refer to people as “stupid”, you should probably make sure your grammar is correct, that way your claim doesn’t sound so backwards. Obviously I am no grammar teacher, but I do try hard not to insult people simply because they have a different view then I. Now I cannot speak for everyone, but I’m sure most people are aware that being a plumber is not strictly defined as having a license. Unfortunately, in many senses, having a license does make you whatever it is you are licensed to do. Once again I cannot speak for everyone else, but I will not be seen by a doctor who is not licensed. If a “doctor” has no patients, but knows how to treat people, does that make him a doctor? Maybe. On the other hand, I don’t mind calling my Uncle a mechanic and trusting his word when he looks at my car, even though he is unlicensed. Now my fiancé is licensed, and more than just my family and I trust him with our automobiles because of it. Either way, you are right in my opinion as well, Joe the plumber is in fact a plumber.
Personally, I would never refer to anyone owing back taxes as a bad person, and I have yet to read or hear of anyone accusing “Joe” of being a bad person because of it. People, like you I assume, do tend to think of liars and hypocrites as bad people though. Now I do not know “Joe”, but claiming to be a plumber who wants to buy a plumbing company, and protesting a 3% raise in taxes, when you haven’t even paid current taxes is a little confusing. Purchasing a company might be difficult when one cannot even afford to pay one’s taxes. Of course it does offer more understanding as to why “Joe” does not want a hike in taxes, if he ever has the money to buy the company he wishes to buy. From my understanding, that is just so contradictive: Can’t pay current taxes, wants to buy a company, therefore doesn’t want taxes any higher, but since can’t afford to buy company or pay current taxes, would never have to worry about paying the higher tax anyways.
Perhaps if “Joe” was a licensed plumber he would have more work? Or maybe because our economy is so bad right now, everyone is in fact a plumber and fixing their own stopped toilets and drippy faucets, I know I am. My father is a construction worker. Well, he finally retired this year at the ripe age of 62. Yes, he’s been a construction worker a little longer than you have. I only say this to inform you that I know and understand perfectly well the life and worries of a construction worker. He has five children he has supported and he, probably like you, has never complained about anything a day in his life. He never sat in an office or had that “consistent place to work” that you were talking about. But just so you know, I went ahead and took some advice from you and “Joe”. You are right, there are plenty of things in print, and from what I’ve read, you haven’t even taken your own advice sir. It appears there are things you haven’t noticed. Here’s what I found, why don’t you take a look?
